Spicy Chicken Puff Recipe

By //  by Life In Pleasantville Leave a Comment

This tasty treat came about one day after I rummaged through the fridge and found leftover chicken, some puff pastry, and a block of cream cheese. Sometimes the best snacks come about when you raid the fridge to see what you can find. A spiced cheese topping bakes right into the puff pastry, adding loads of really great flavor for you to pile your fresh ingredients on top of. While I went with a kind of spicy riff here along with avocado and fresh tomatoes, you could also try substituting …

Superbowl Chili

Super Bowl Chili: You NEED To Make This

By //  by Dee Brun 1 Comment

I worked on this recipe for 3 years. This is why I call it.. THE BEST CHILI EVA or for the purposes of this post, Super Bowl Chili. It has a real mole flare with the coffee and cocoa powder and just a touch of cinnamon. I firmly believe it will spoil you for all other chili forever. Do come back and let me know if I'm right, ok? This works fab as a meal, but it is my favourite to put out with nacho chips at parties, like, the big game party happening this Sunday. Serve it dip style …

I get all headachy, and sweaty behind the knees. I'd take cold over hot any day. A wise man once said: you can always put more clothes on. Public decency means you can only get away with taking so much off, and even then you might be out of luck. Fortunately, we've been pretty lucky this year--it's been downright cool, even though that's sort …

creamy jalapeno dip

Highly Addictive Creamy Jalapeno Dip

By //  by Candace Sampson 5 Comments

I was first introduced to this Creamy Jalapeno Dip by my friend Tara who declared it the "best dip ever". I was skeptical until I tried it, but in the end couldn't disagree with her. It was totally addictive. Unfortunately we don't have a Chuy's in Canada so when she came to visit me, I decided to try and recreate it for her. I was sort of successful, this Creamy Jalapeno Dip isn't the same as Chuy's, I actually think it's better. The hardcore Chuy's fans might disagree with me though. As …
