How to Find Joy Through Jumping

by Candace Sampson

Did you know that you don’t have to wait for a happy occasion in your life to jump for joy?  You can actually bring the joy you seek to your life by simply jumping. Jumping on a trampoline for 10 minutes is equivalent to going for a 30 minute jog and while the calorie burning is enough to make any woman smile, it’s actually the endorphin high that brings the joy. Related: Jumping is also WAY more fun than running.

Springfree workout

Still, as a grown ass woman in my mid-forties, the thought of going out and just randomly jumping on a trampoline has deterred me in the past from actually doing it. First, I just felt ridiculous.  Secondly, what would my neighbours think? Thankfully, Springfree gave me a reason to jump for joy with their  tgoma (take games outside and make them active) system. Now I can go out in the backyard and jump confidently knowing that there is a very, very serious workout going on (despite the fact I’m having the time of my life).

Springfree tgoma Fit

tgoma is a new way for adults (and kids) to play. It’s the first outdoor interactive game system that encourages the whole family to get outside and frankly, why should the kids have all the fun? tgoma works with your own tablet device and the app is free to download! Along with 8 games your kids will love, the tgoma system comes with tgoma Fit. Developed by a worldclass trampoline athlete, this workout seriously kicks your butt and yet somehow manages to make it fun!

How Jumping Can Bring You Joy

What I love most about the tgoma system is how is involves the whole family in having fun. Challenges can be set up at the beginning of each week, which sets the stage for some friendly competition. Most jumps gets the week off from emptying the dishwasher maybe? Least amount of jumps gets to mow the lawn? Whatever you decide, you’re including more activity in your family life and that can never be a bad thing.

Did you know that on average kids spend over 60 hours a week consuming media and less than 60 minutes a week playing outside? That statistic is staggering to me but as someone who makes their living in front of a computer screen, I’m not exactly the poster child for active living. It’s probably accurate to say that most parents consume as much media themselves and workout just as little. Instead of fighting technology, Springfree and tgoma have harnessed it so the whole family can have a great workout. Find out more for yourself at SpringfreeTrampoline.ca

Disclosure: I was given a Springfree Trampoline in exchange for this post. I fell in love with Springfree at STRUT Conference this year and approached them for a possible collaboration. My love for their product continues and all opinions in this post are mine.
