Hogswart Express Celebrates Millionth Visitor at Universal

by Candace Sampson

Hogswart Express Celebrates Millionth Vistor at Universal? Wait a minute, that can’t be right? Didn’t the Hogswart Express just open at Universal on July 8th?! And yet, that was the email I received from Universal Orlando today confirming that this mega milestone has already been reached! I can barely wrap my head around the fact that they have already had over a million people ride the train between Hogsmeade and Diagon Alley. What a monumental summer this must be for Universal and for all the lucky guests who’ve been able to get up close and personal to the latest Harry Potter Experience!

Hogwarts Express Millionth Rider Celebration

To celebrate this major milestone, nearly two hundred guests were given complimentary Butterbeer ice-cream, Hogwarts scarves and souvenir Hogwarts Express tickets. In addition, Universal Orlando commemorated the moment by selecting a few lucky children to receive conductor’s hats before boarding the train. Guests began boarding the iconic steam locomotive in early July, surpassing one million riders in a little more than a month.

I now officially feel like I’m the last person to visit. Have you been yet? What did you think? If you haven’t been yet, is it in your plans? When do you think you’ll get there?
