creamy jalapeno dip

Creamy Jalapeno Dip: Spicy, Addictive & So Easy to Make

by Candace Sampson
Jump to Recipe Print Recipe

When I say this creamy jalapeno dip is dangerously addictive, I’m not exaggerating. It has ruined me for other dips — and I don’t say that lightly. This is the kind of party food that quietly shows up, sits down on the snack table, and steals the entire show. People hover. People dip. People demand the recipe. You’ve been warned.

creamy jalapeno dip

I first made this spicy, creamy, tangy magic for a backyard get-together, and now it’s basically my signature dish. You know how every friend group has someone who always brings the devilled eggs or the cheese ball? This dip has made me that person. And honestly, I’m fine with it. Because when you find something this easy to make that people obsess over, you lean in.

Hot Tip (Literally):
Not all jalapenos are created equal. If you’re not sure how spicy yours will be, this viral tip for picking the perfect jalapeño is worth a look — it’ll change how you shop for peppers.

This easy jalapeno dip comes together with just a handful of ingredients — mayonnaise, fresh jalapenos, green chiles, and some fresh herbs for good measure. It’s flexible, forgiving, and impossible to screw up. It’s also ideal for last-minute guests, Sunday snacking, or game day spreads where you want to impress but can’t be bothered to do too much.

If you like your party appetizers with a little kick, this dip delivers. The jalapenos bring the heat, but the mayonnaise and buttermilk mellow things out perfectly. Not into serious spice? Just scale back the jalapeños. Want to live a little? Toss in a fresh chili pepper and go full fire.

And while you’re here planning your next snack attack, might I suggest you pair this creamy jalapeno dip with my red wine sangria? It’s fruity, refreshing, and plays really well with spicy flavours. Plus, no one has ever regretted having a pitcher of sangria on standby.

So whether you’re hosting a party, going to a potluck, or just having a night in with a good show and bad decisions, this creamy jalapeno dip is your ride-or-die. It’s bold. It’s crowd-pleasing. And it’s officially earned a permanent spot in my snack lineup.

Scroll down for the full recipe — but fair warning, you might want to double it.
