Make the Grand Raspberry Fizz Your New Go-To Cocktail!

by Candace Sampson

Meet my new favourite drink, the Grand Raspberry Fizz—a cocktail that has me rethinking how versatile Grand Marnier can be.

Honestly, no one was more surprised than me to discover Grand Marnier as the star attraction in a drink. Typically, I’ve kept it in the background as a flavour booster, giving a subtle orange kick to cocktails like sangria. But this drink has me fully convinced that Grand Marnier deserves to shine on its own, especially when paired with the sweet tang of raspberry and the fresh zip of lime.

The Grand Raspberry Fizz is an ideal cocktail for any time of year. Its refreshing taste and lively colours make it perfect for summer gatherings by the pool. Picture it: the sun is out, and you’re sipping on this vibrant drink with friends—it’s like capturing a bit of the season in a glass. At the same time, this cocktail’s festive look and complex flavours are just right for winter celebrations too. I’m already planning to serve it for New Year’s Eve, where it’ll be a hit among guests looking for something unique yet approachable.

What I love most about this drink is the balance between flavours. The Grand Marnier adds depth with its warm orange notes, blending smoothly with the tartness of fresh raspberry puree. A hint of lime juice cuts through the sweetness, while the simple syrup keeps it from being overly sour. Topped with club soda, the drink has a fizzy lift that’s both fun and refreshing, making it a lighter choice for anyone who doesn’t want the heaviness of some traditional holiday cocktails.

Grand Raspberry Fizz

1 oz Grand Marnier
1 oz Raspberry puree
1/2 oz Fresh Lime juice
3/4 oz simple syrup
1 1/4 oz Club Soda

In a large shaker, muddle Grand Marnier, raspberry puree, lime juice and simple syrup. Add ice to a martini glass or tall glass, pour mixture into the glass and top with club soda.
