Disney Ruined Cruising For Me – There’s No Going Back Now

By //  by Candace Sampson

This is the story of how Disney ruined cruising for me. Over the years, I’ve enjoyed several cruises on various cruise lines and I thought they were quite good. After enjoying four days on the Disney Dream however, I realize I’ve been living a lie. Way to go Disney, now what am I supposed to do?  How will I live without the cake of the day delivered to my room free of charge? What other cruise line will whisk me away to a private island? Who else will welcome me and my family onboard …

I tell people to go to Disney all the time. I can think of no other place that offers so much fun for families and is truly invested in seeing that you have the best vacation ever. They think of everything. But when I suggest to people that they leave their kids at home for a trip to visit the Big Cheese, I usually get a raised eyebrow followed by a "You're joking, right?". Not since 1971, when it first opened, has there been a construction project of this scale at Walt Disney World. Fantasyland is set to double in size and as we've come to expect from Disney, the transformation will be nothing short of magical. Last week, I had the honor of joining a small group of media behind the construction walls to see first hand how make believe is becoming reality. We were advised that we could not take photos or video once we were behind the wall. Aaaargh!!! So …

Disney’s Art of Animation Resort

By //  by Candace Sampson

One of the best things about visiting Walt Disney World in Florida is staying at one of their resorts and enjoying the magic the entire time you visit. Disney makes your entire vacation an experience to remember from your accommodations, to your dining, to your parks visits. Nothing misses the pixie dust. For larger families though, staying at a Disney resort has always presented a bit of a hurdle, as most Disney resort rooms are built by the industry standard of four people to a room. …

Christmas at Fort Wilderness

By //  by Candace Sampson

A couple of days before we headed out on our Christmas vacation, we had an awesome idea. Like, a truly awesome idea. I can not stress enough the magnitude of this really AWESOME idea. We decided that we would bring our Christmas inflatable to put outside our RV at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground. Oh, won't we look so smart that we brought that along, we thought. My husband and I patted each other on the back for thinking of it. The girls thought they had the coolest parents ever! We …
