Spooky Snacks the Kids Will Love! Is anyone else into the whole theme food idea?  I think it's fun to make snacks that reflect the nearest holiday!  The kids really enjoy them!  These fun healthy Halloween snacks are super easy to throw together! Healthy Halloween snacks may sound like a contradiction of words but healthy and Halloween can co-exist just fine.  Who said it has to be all about the candy?  Well yes,  Halloween does usually mean candy but candy doesn't have dibs.  I think the …

Halloween on a Budget

How to Do Halloween on a Budget

By //  by Candace Sampson 2 Comments

I'm happy to talk about one of my favourite words today—budget. I especially love this word when it comes to holidays, because I think most of us tend to go a crazy around special occasions and we often throw financial caution to the wind. This, of course, is total folly. The holidays are exactly the time of year when we should pay extra attention to our wallets, lest we spend the rest of the year trying to pay off our extravagance. Halloween, Scary or Sexy?

By //  by Candace Sampson 17 Comments

I may be mistaken but isn't Halloween supposed to be creepy, scary, otherworldly even? It is, after all the day when the dead are supposed to roam the earth if we go back to it's origins. Sure, we've morphed it into a day when people dress up and get candy at strangers doors, but it's still about the about the eerie, right? So what I want to know is, when did it turn into a porn movie? I mean, are we all just walking around eagerly awaiting the day we can bring our sexy back? If you look at the …
