Give a Kid a Camera

by Candace Sampson

Give a kid a camera and hilarity ensues. Last year we gave our daughter a camera for Christmas. She’s a pretty avid photographer but I never really took the time to look at what she was snapping until her card was full and needed to be erased. Now that she has a new card, I think I’m going to wait until it’s full again before I look. This was simply too much fun.

She begins to master the self-portrait on Christmas Day.
It’s not enough to wear the t-shirt, you must also take a picture of it.
A picture of one sleeping Grandfather.
Boppy’s awake!
The dog strikes her usual pose
Self-portraits are getting more entertaining
The accomplices
If any of the stuffies go missing we have a picture of all of them. Every. One.
The Toothless Wonder
By March, it’s clear she’s just irritating people
In my natural habitat
Lazy Saturday morning
The comedian in the family
The WORST picture of me EVER! Working out to Jillian Michaels. As you can see, I’m struggling.
My feet in the RV. That’s a keeper.
Wha? Why? Why take another TERRIBLE picture of me? You’re killing me kid.
Don’t think this isn’t etched into her mind as the “ideal”. Oh boy.
Finally! A picture where I’m caught off guard but at least made up.
Awwww. That’s a cute pic
Again, why?
Good one! I was prepared for this one.
She posed them for this one. In case you were wondering.
Finally, her sister snags the camera and gets a good one of her and Nanny.

Ba ha ha hah aha….I think I make the same face when I work out to Jillian Michaels. When I gave Son No. 2 a camera there were about a hundred pictures of my ass which actually made sense because that’s where his eye level was at the time.

    Love these shots!

I was just remembering back when cameras came with a roll of 24 and you had to get them developed and then buy more film…I also so love taking pictures of absolutely everything (mostly my cats) :-).

I gave my boys a disposable camera. 23 pictures of inside the fridge. 2 pictures looking up their nostrils. Good times, good times.
