Medical Care Near Disney

by Candace Sampson

You’ve planned that magic trip to Disney forever and a day and what does one your little angel go and do when you get there? They get sick. Of all the stinkin’ luck. Plus you’re in a foreign city, possibly country and you haven’t got a clue where to go. Have no fear. This is exactly what you’re looking for. Trust me, this happened to us on our last trip to Disney and I don’t ever want to be left not knowing where to go again.

If you’re from out of country, don’t forget to call your insurance company to let them know you’ll be visiting a hospital or clinic. Don’t forget to bring your insurance information, credit card and ID with you.

This little stinker gave us a scare with a cough that wouldn't quit this year. Better safe than sorry, off to Urgent Care we went.

For the less serious stuff, if you go to the information kiosks in the parks most of them sell children’s Advil/Tylenol, adult Advil/Tylenol, Immodium, Pepto Bismal, Rolaids, etc… and the prices aren’t jacked up. 🙂

Absolutely Amanda. They do have over the counter meds available throughout the park.

My last trip to disney I had a tooth abscess! Excruciating pain! The gum under my one tooth was very very swollen! So there may be doctors around Disney but, where am I gonna find a Dentist in Lake Buena Vista? The front desk of our hotel was very helpful. We called my dentist from home, he recommended antibiotics. The front desk told us to call the prescription in to Turner Drugs. It’s a pharmacy on Disney property and they deliver your meds to your resort! Talk to your concierge for more info! After a day of those meds, My mouth already felt better!
