Redbox Canada Giveaway

Movie Buffs Rejoice with Redbox Canada

by Candace Sampson

When the wind is whipping outside and the snow is higher than my trusty Sorels, I love nothing more than curling up on the couch with a big blanket and a great movie. I use this time of year to get caught up on as many movies as possible, especially new releases, which can be hard to find when you’re streaming. That’s why I love Redbox Canada that has all the latest movies at ridiculously affordable prices (hello, $1.25 a movie!). Just in my area alone, I have ten Redbox locations that are easily accessible and convenient. My favourite location of course is our local Walmart where I can pick up my groceries and a movie on the way out.

How does Redbox Canada work? Simply reserve your movie online, find a kiosk close to you and pick up your movie. You do not have to return your movie to the same kiosk! If another location is more convenient when it’s time to take it back then return it there. Also, if you’re walking by a kiosk and it feels like a good time for a movie, you can pick one up without reservations. It doesn’t get any easier than this.

So here’s the question? Why do we have to give Fridays get all the attention as the designated movie night? Movie night can be any night in my humble opinion and I love that Redbox agrees. This month they are offering Free Movie Thursdays where customers can get a free one-night DVD rental each Thursday at all Redbox® kiosks across Canada throughout the month of October.

“What’s better than getting a quality movie when you want it, where you want it, all for free?” said Kate Brennan, Senior Communications Manager at Redbox. “We’re inviting our customers in Canada to get a headstart on the weekend by picking up a free one-night rental at Redbox. Whether you’re a returning customer, or new to Redbox, we hope you’ll enjoy a movie on us!”

To receive a free one-night DVD rental on Thursdays in October (Oct. 9, 16, 23 or 30), all you need to do is visit a Redbox kiosk, enter the promo code THURSDAY at checkout and swipe a valid credit card to cover any additional nights you hold onto the DVD. If you return your DVD by 9 p.m. local time the next day, there won’t be a charge. Enter your email at checkout to be sent a receipt.

From highly anticipated new release titles such as “Transformers: Age of Extinction,” “Neighbors” and “The Fault in Our Stars,” to recent releases like “The Other Woman,” “Captain America: Winter Soldier” and “Brick Mansions,” starring Paul Walker, Redbox offers a variety of genres in convenient locations in both DVD and Blu-ray Disc® formats.

Redbox is Canada’s largest DVD “rentailer” with more than 1,350 automated kiosks across all 10 provinces. To find a location close to you, simply go to www.redbox.ca/locations.

To make celebrating movie night any night of the week even sweeter I’m giving one lucky Canadian Life in Pleasantville reader a full year’s worth of movie rentals from Redbox Canada. That’s 52 amazing movies to share with your kids, your girlfriends, your husband or with no one at all (I am embarrassingly teary in chick flicks – best I be alone). So enter using the form below and get yourself to a kiosk tonight or next Thursday (October 30, 2014) for your FREE movie rental from Redbox.
