I like giving myself a pass during the holidays to enjoy ALL the food and drink guilt free. That’s why these Homemade Christmas Creamers make an appearance in my fridge every December.
I’m a giver by nature though, so if I’m giving myself a Holiday Hall pass, why not share the love with my friends? I like to give these Homemade Christmas Creamers at hostess gifts. Paired with my Skillet Banana Bread they give your hostess with the mostess a well-deserved break on breakfast the day after holding the most epic holiday party of the season. Gurrrrl needs a break if you see what I’m saying here.
This recipe takes no time to pull together. Simply whisk your sweetened condensed milk and half & half together, then prep your milk or mason jars with different flavours. I like to make a Vanilla Bean flavoured creamer, in addition to Eggnog, Cinnamon Dream and Peppermint Mocha but YOU are only limited by your imagination.
Homemade Christmas Creamers
- 600 ml Eagle Brand Sweetened Condensed Milk
- 600 ml Half & Half Cream
- 1 tsp Rum Extract
- 1/2 tsp Ground Nutmeg
- 1 vanilla bean, scraped
- 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
- 2 tbsps cocoa powder
- 1/2 tsp peppermint extract
- 1 tbsp cinnamon
- 1 tsp almond extract
Combine sweetened condensed milk and Half & Half in a large batter bowl with a lip for pouring and whisk well to combine.
In one bottle or jar, add 1 tsp rum extract and 1/2 tsp ground nutmeg.
In the next bottle scrape the insides of one vanilla bean into it and add 1/2 tsp vanilla extract.
In the third bottle add tbsps cocoa powder and 1/2 tsp peppermint extract.
In the fourth bottle add 1 tbsp cinnamon, 1 tsp vanilla extract and 1 tsp almond extract.
Divide cream mixture between four bottles, cap tightly and shake well. Label and refrigerate for up to two weeks.
Note: If the Cocoa won't mix well you may have to pour into a blender before putting back in the milk bottle.
