Homemade Christmas Creamers

Christmas Coffee Creamer Recipes (Homemade Flavours for Gifting)

by Candace Sampson
Jump to Recipe Print Recipe

Every December I give myself permission to enjoy the fun stuff, and these Christmas coffee creamer recipes are always first in line in my fridge. They are simple to make, a little indulgent, and the kind of treat that makes the season feel special. Cream, sugar, the whole works.

Homemade Christmas Creamers

I also love gifting them. If a friend is hosting a holiday party, I show up with a bottle or two tied with a simple tag. Paired with my Skillet Banana Bread, it gives them a break the morning after playing hostess. It is thoughtful, inexpensive, and honestly pretty cute. If you love a festive cup as much as I do, these four Christmas creamer flavours are the easiest little indulgence you can make.

Why Homemade Christmas Coffee Creamers Hit the Spot

There is something a little magical about pouring a flavoured creamer into your morning coffee when the tree lights are on and the house is quiet. Store-bought versions are fine, but homemade creamers feel richer and taste better. You pick the flavours, you control the sweetness, and you avoid the mystery ingredients.

These creamers are also perfect for gifting during the holidays. They look adorable in small bottles, and they feel personal without requiring a full day in the kitchen.

Homemade Christmas Creamer

This recipe takes no time to pull together. Simply whisk your sweetened condensed milk and half & half together, then prep your milk or mason jars with different flavours. I like to make a Vanilla Bean flavoured creamer, in addition to Eggnog, Cinnamon Dream and Peppermint Mocha but YOU are only limited by your imagination.

What You Need to Make Homemade Creamers

You only need a few simple ingredients and jars:

  • Sweetened condensed milk
  • Half and half
  • Milk bottles or mason jars
  • Twine or ribbon for gifting
  • Labels or tags
  • Flavour additions like cinnamon, chocolate, peppermint extract, vanilla bean, and eggnog

If you want to take it further, you can explore food-safe gifting bottles or dairy-free alternatives from reputable sources online.

How to Make a Basic Homemade Coffee Creamer

The base recipe could not be easier. Whisk together:

  • One can of sweetened condensed milk
  • The same amount of half and half

That is it. Once the mixture is smooth, divide it into jars and flavour each one. The four recipes below show you how to turn one simple base into a set of festive creamers that look as good as they taste.

Your full printable recipe card appears in the WPRM box below in your post.

Four Christmas Coffee Creamer Recipes to Try

Ingredients needed to make homemade Christmas coffee creamers

Cinnamon Dream Creamer

Warm, cosy, and perfect for anyone who loves a cinnamon-forward cup.
Add to one jar:

  • Cinnamon
  • A touch of nutmeg
  • A splash of vanilla

Shake well until blended.

Peppermint Mocha Creamer

This one tastes like Christmas in a cup.
Add to one jar:

  • Cocoa powder or melted chocolate
  • Peppermint extract (start small, it is strong)

Shake until the chocolate is fully incorporated.

Eggnog Creamer

This is the easiest flavour because the eggnog does most of the work.
Replace part of the half and half with eggnog for a rich, classic Christmas taste.
Keep notes on storage for this one, since eggnog is more perishable.

Vanilla Bean Creamer

Simple, elegant, and always a crowd pleaser.
Add to one jar:

  • Vanilla bean paste or the seeds of a vanilla bean
  • A splash of vanilla extract

Shake well and enjoy the sweet, fragrant flavour.

How Long Do Homemade Christmas Creamers Last

These Christmas coffee creamer recipes usually keep for about one week in the fridge when stored in sealed, food-safe glass jars. Give them a shake before using because separation is normal.

Store homemade Christmas coffee creamers in glass containers in the fridge and for gifting.

If you are making these as gifts, add a label with the date they were made and a reminder to refrigerate.

How to Package These for Gifting

Presentation counts. A simple bottle with twine and a handwritten tag feels special. You can add:

  • A short note about the flavour
  • Serving suggestions
  • A best-before date
  • A link to the recipe on your site

Pairing a bottle with Skillet Banana Bread or a small holiday treat makes a lovely hostess gift.

FAQ About Christmas Coffee Creamers

Can I make these dairy-free?

Not this exact recipe. Sweetened condensed milk is the base, and that is dairy. There are coconut-based condensed milks on the market, but the flavour and thickness change enough that it becomes a completely different recipe. If you need a dairy-free version, start with coconut condensed milk and a dairy-free creamer, then adjust flavours to taste.k.

Can I make these less sweet?

Not really. Sweetened condensed milk is both the sugar and the thickener, so reducing it will throw off the texture. If you prefer a lighter sweetness, you can add a bit more half and half to dilute the overall flavour, but the base will still be sweet.

Can I freeze homemade coffee creamer?

The texture becomes grainy once thawed, so it is not recommended.

Why is my creamer separating?

Some spices and cocoa will settle. A quick shake solves it.

What jars work best?

Small milk bottles or half-pint mason jars look great and are easy to gift.
