The Best Chocolate Chip Cookies
The holy grail of chocolate chip cookies.

2 sticks unsalted butter, melted and slightly cooled

packed brown sugar

granulated sugar

eggs

1 1/2
tsp
vanilla

semisweet chocolate chips

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
For the dough

Whisk together: flour, baking soda, and salt in a small bowl.

Beat together: butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar in a large bowl with an electric mixer at high speed until pale and fluffy (2-3 minutes).

Add eggs and beat until creamy (1 minute).

Beat in vanilla.

Reduce speed to low and add in flour mixture until just blended.

Stir in chocolate chips.
Baking
-
Form balls between 1-2 inches in size and place 2-3 inches apart on a cookie sheet lined with parchment paper or aluminum foil.

Flatten balls of dough slightly.

Bake until golden (9-12 minutes).

Transfer to a cooling rack.
