Slow Cooker Apple Sauce

Ingredients

  • 5 medium Gala apples
  • 2 medium Granny Smith apples
  • 2 medium Honey Crisp apples
  • 1/4 cup of water
  • 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1/4 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp nutmeg
  • 1/8 tsp allspice

Instructions

  1. Peel apples with paring knife and cut into large chunks directly into slow cooker. Pour water over top, add brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg and allspice and stir to combine. Turn slow cooker on low and cook for 6 to 8 hours. Leave top off for last 1/2 hour of cooking to thicken sauce. Serve warm or store in airtight container in refrigerator for up to 2 weeks.
