A few weeks ago my dog Honey took one for the team and started a #mixedfeeding challenge. It was grueling work but she got the job done! Kidding, she loved every minute of it.
In fact, she loved it so much she’s not going back. Ever. I tried to feed her just dry food today and she turned her nose up and walked away. Suddenly she’s a dog food connoisseur. So what have I noticed now that she’s had a mixed feeding diet for thirty days? First off, I didn’t even think it was possible, she’s a happier dog. She’s certainly more eager to get to her food twice a day, that’s for sure.
Secondly, her breath is WAY better. This truly surprised me. Even though I was told a mixed feeding diet would promote better oral health, I wasn’t quite sure how I would measure that. The proof is in the panting. Her breath no longer makes me recoil and frankly, that’s the winning formula for me. Finally, she didn’t gain any weight. She’s maintained her svelte, girlish figure over the last month and looks fabulous. Both Honey and I are convinced that we’ll continue on with this diet for her.
The infographic below is a great way to see how mixed feeding helps your pet live a longer and happier life. Try it yourself for thirty days and see for yourself the difference it makes in your pet.
Now that Honey has taken the challenge, she’s eager to share the wealth with her canine friends. She’s giving away this amazing prize pack to one lucky winner. Check out the cute dog bed and fun toys! This contest is open to Canadians only and has an approximate retail value of $100. Simply enter using the Rafflecopter widget below.
