Crush and Covet – Apples, Lobsters, Lip Balm and More

Have you ever loved something so hard you’d do anything to get your hands on it? Within the bounds of the law, of course. We’re all civilized.

Although there was that time…and anyone would have done the same…and really, your best friend was none the wiser that it was you who borrowed her signed Rob Lowe poster. Anyway, now we’re totally legitimate and buy our own stuff, but that doesn’t make the crushes any less worthy of total adoration.

At Life In Pleasantville we’re all about enabling and sharing, so have a look at what we’re crushing on this week, and tell us which one of these makes it to your Must Have list.

Kelly Williams: “I love my Burt’s Bees tinted lip balm. Honeysuckle is the perfect nude and Red Dahlia is the best berry colour. Very light and all natural.”

Leslie Foster: “I have a toothpaste aversion. I actually used to gag at the THOUGHT of having to brush my son’s teeth when he was little. So a glass by the sink with toothpaste dribbling down the side is more than enough to super-ick gross-me-out. Enter the Tapi. This invention should win awards! It fits on most faucets and allows normal operation until you pinch the bottom. That’s when the magic happens and your faucet is turned into a water fountain. If you’re not toothpaste averse like me, you may crush on the fact that it makes teeth brushing more fun for the kiddos. It’s easy to use, simple to clean, and fun for the whole family.”

Kelli Catana: “I MUST have this mug! A friend and I have a long-standing ‘thing’ where we refer to each other as our ‘lobster’ (in a purely, non ‘mate for life’ way) because of Friends — the TV show — when Phoebe tells Ross that Rachel is his lobster. Anyway, this is a perfect gift for Valentine’s day or just for a good friend.”

Dee Brun: ” It has been my dream to design my gourmet kitchen and my dream is finally coming true. I know this beauty would make me a better cook, however, unless it can also drive the kids to swimming lessons it will have to stay a dream. The burners, the ovens, the colour—OH MY! This Bertazzoni range in my new kitchen with Anthony Bourdain cooking at it would make my world a better place … A girl can dream.

Candace Derickx: “When it came to apples, I was a dedicated Pink Lady girl. No other apple could compete…until now. I am totally in love with Red Prince Apples. Even better is they’re from Ontario and available from January through to summer, which is not typically apple season for us here in Canada. Since I’ve been introduced to these babies, I’m having no problem getting my apple a day”

The Bertazzoni range would make me happy with Gordon Ramsay or Ricardo in my kitchen 🙂

[…] difference between that definition and everything crush worthy we share in our Crush and Covet section is that none of our loves are unattainable and they’ll never be inappropriate. […]
