With our vodka, pool umbrellas, and slouchy pants it’s pretty obvious that we are ready to get this summer party started, baby! Except it’s not summer yet, at least not west of Vancouver Island.
We’ll stop whining about the weather even though it’s a national sport in Canada and we take our sports seriously. We also take our crushes seriously; I’m still pining for the light blue Swatch watch someone lifted from my locker in grade 12. What are you crushing on?
Candace Derickx – “I fell in love with this scarf in Mont Tremblant last weekend and immediately scooped it up. The colours are subtle and it’s perfect for spring, which I hear is on it’s way despite the snow in my backyard! You can find this Map of Canada Infinity Scarf at Roots stores across Canada or online!”
Kelli Williams: “Summer is right around the corner and I CANNOT wait. I love to sit outside and read, but as it is now I have to drag my lawn chair around to find a warm spot out of the direct sunlight. I would love a backyard reno, but I’ll settle for a big cantilever umbrella. Most big building supply and garden centers carry them and you can get a good one without having to spend a fortune. My birthday is coming up and this will definitely be on my list.”
Kelli Catana: “Athleta Aspire Ankle Pants. I’ve been a Lululemon girl for years, but I’ve recently discovered Athleta and I am a convert! These Aspire Ankle Pants (or just the right length pants if you’re a short person like me:)) are the perfect fit and feel for casual wear or even to dress up a bit. They’ve quickly become my new favourite pants
Katja Wulfers: “What do I want? A Tolkien inspired leather camera strap from Etsy, of course. Someone should really limit the amount of time I spend on Etsy.”
Dee Brun: “I am always coveting a good libation..something summer to go with Kelly’s pool umbrella. Right now it’s Wodka Zoladkowa Gorzka…yup, say that 10 times. The vodka is herbal infused so it’s healthy. Nod with me. Wodka Zoladkowa Gorzka is a Polish vodka. and so SMOOOTH and silky. It goes down WAY too easy. You can find it at most liquor stores.”
