Time of My Life – Dirty Dancing

time of my life

I can not get this song out of my head lately. There are three reasons for this. First it’s summer and I always equate this song with summer. Second, I recently went on a vacation that reminded me of the setting for Dirty Dancing and third, I’m having the time of my life. Really.

While I can’t deny that lately my life has been loaded with stress, I always try to remember that this moment in time is the richest I’ll ever have. My parents are healthy and happy, my children are healthy and happy, same for my husband. My friends are all still here in my life and I’m happy to say that I still add new ones to the fold occasionally. Yup. The time of my life is now, and so as I often do with my life I add soundtracks, usually for the day, but this one encompasses a larger time frame. I hope it continues to for a long time to come.

How old were you when you first watched Dirty Dancing? I was seventeen. I remember it was considered a sleeper hit because absolutely nobody anticipated it’s huge success. Hard to believe.
