There are two seasons in most parts of Canada: winter and summer. In theory we have four, but with El Ninjo and the polar ice caps melting and the Pollen Storm of 2015 (ACHOO!) messing with our closet space and patience levels, we’re down to two. We flew from winter to summer in the course of 24-hours and now it’s time to take care of our skin, uncover our legs, and brush off the squirrel nests from the BBQ.
Candace Derickx – I was at a conference recently and a friend let me try her Clinique Moisture Surge Spray. My skin is dry to start with, but after a long flight it was totally parched. This spray felt so damn good I rushed out to get some but because I obsess about things I also picked up the Skin Fortifying Hydrator and the All About Eyes Serum. I am hooked. This is like a tall drink of ice cold water for my face. I use the eye and skin lotions in the morning and evening now and keep the spray in my purse and regularly hydrate throughout the day. Heavenly.
Ashley MacInnis – Revlon Gel Envy is affordable, easy to apply and lives up to its long-wearing promise! There are a number of great shades to choose from including light, summery shades and deeper, vampy shades. No light. No base coat. Short drying time. What’s not to love? Bonus: It comes off easily with nail polish remover. I even wrote a review about it over Easter because I was so impressed then. I’m dying to get the teal-y blue shade for a summery pedicure! On my fingers, I get about a week out of it.
Kelli Catana – Reese Witherspoon is the latest celebrity to jump on the lifestyle website bandwagon with the launch of her brand ‘Draper James‘. Draper James is Witherspoon’s ode to Southern living and hospitality, so you can find a lot of items with magnolia’s on them. I am seriously crushing on this Vanderbilt tote emblazoned with the words ‘Totes Y’all’ because not only is it cute and functional, but I love it’s Southern sassiness.
Anne Radcliffe – I’ve been working on the hunger games challenge over at YMC for almost the whole month of May. Doing the extended challenge has been truly enlightening, because it’s helped me understand the real trials and frustrations of people who have to live on food stamps or a severely limited budget. One can eat healthy foods, and eat fairly well, but there are always road blocks and limitations–to have more money to get the stuff I want (and need, since my son has food allergies), I have to be willing to spend more time cooking from scratch and omitting luxuries… most beef, most dark greens, even coffee and tea.
What I miss most is being able to eat more protein and dark green vegetables without having to balance them with cheaper options. While I haven’t had to be “meatless” on this diet, you might be surprised at what my servings of meat look like–like half a pork chop or a small handful of hamburger. I miss a really good steak, possibly served with asparagus and other lovely roasted vegetables… and the luxury of not having to prepare it myself!
Kelly Flannigan Bos – I am a huge fan of pencil skirts, but sometimes a girl needs a little space from her clothes. I love the cut and style of this J.Crew IKAT tulip skirt with its structure meets flow style. Perfect for the rising temperatures!

Oh, Anne! I have been following your journey. It’s certainly not an easy position to be in. My goodness that steak looks scrumptious!
I was *thiiiiiis* close to buying this Revlon nail enamel today. As soon as it goes on sale I have to try it!
Clinique loves my skin. I need to stock up. Once upon a time pre-kiddos, I would live for the Clinique Bonus events!
