You know that feeling when you find a five dollar bill in the jacket of a coat you haven’t worn in ages? It’s like winning the lottery finding money you didn’t know you had. That’s why every Canadian needs to know that they just virtually found $20 (at a minimum) with Foam for Cash, and claiming it couldn’t be easier.

Why are you owed this money?

Several manufacturers of polyurethane foam products allegedly formed a cartel to fix prices, between 1999 and 2012, resulting in inflated costs for Canadian consumers and entities. Canadians can now claim what they’re are owed (a minimum of $20 per household) and send a strong message to businesses that price-fixing will not be tolerated.

I’m going to get up on my pulpit for just a brief moment here.

Beyond the fun of getting your money back, I truly feel it’s a civic duty to claim this money. As we’ve recently seen with the price fixing scandal with bread, businesses are taking advantage. As consumers, if we don’t claim the money that is rightfully ours, the message we send back, is that we’re okay with being cheated.

This is EASY

I feel your struggle. A part of you is outraged that this has happened, and yet at the same time you’re asking if this is really something you have the time to invest in. The skeptic in you is already asking how many hoops you have to jump through just to get this $20. I wondered that myself so I actually went through the process. It took me under ten minutes.

Here’s the catch. You must claim your money by February 6, 2018, so don’t let grass grow under your feet on this. Hop to it now by following the steps below.

Here’s What You Need to Do

Grab your smart phone and go take a picture of the tag on any of the following items in your home that were purchased between 1999 and 2012. I’m betting you have at least one, if not more of these items.

  • Bed mattresses
  • Upholstered office chairs
  • Upholstered Armchairs
  • Two-seat sofas
  • Three-seat sofas and sectional sofas
  • Carpet underlay
  • Carpet pad
  • Carpet cushion

Next, go to foamforcash.com and click on the Simplified Form at the bottom left.

Fill in your name and details and verify that you purchased polyurethane foam products between 1999 and 2012, and upload your photo. Aaaand you’re done. It really is that easy.

Want to claim even more of what’s owed to you? You can click on the long form which allows you to list in detail each item purchased. For this you will need to gather your receipts or documents that directly show your purchases or from which your purchases can be calculated or extrapolated. Check out all the FAQs here.

One last thing; spread the word to your friends, co-workers, and family by sending them this link or the link to foamforcash.com. The more Canadians that claim the money that is rightfully theirs, the stronger the message to manufacturers and retailers that we will not tolerate price-fixing.

Disclosure: I have been compensated to help spread the word about Foam for Cash. All opinions expressed within are mine.
