Just when you thought the weekly Crush and Covet couldn’t get any better, Anne Radcliffe serves up the best sweater in the history of sweaters. If you’re Canadian, or love horses, or like to save money while looking great, or have a sense of humour you will love this round-up. If you are none of those things — s’okay, Merica and the rest of the world, you can be honorary Canucks — perhaps you need to rethink your life choices.
Editor’s note: We understand Anne has received the sweater and is indeed wearing it night and day. Word’s out on how her husband feels about Trudeau plastered onto his wife’s chest.
Laureen Farnam – You may or may not know that I kind of have a thing for tacos. Taco Tuesday is always on our menu and my kids would stage an uprising if I were to take it away. Thankfully, with so many ways to make tacos, I don’t ever feel the urge to try something new. Meanwhile, as the gluten-free one who pretty much always sticks to the corn tortilla shells, this shirt made me laugh so hard (I crack myself up.) when I saw it. Not only is it funny because it’s true, but it also appeals to my 80s-music-loving, inner teenager and on a week like I’ve just had, it also serves as a reminder that I cannot control everything all the time. BUT! I can control the guacamole out of Taco Tuesday. I *need* this shirt.
Dee Brun – I just ordered my new glasses online from Zenni and they are awesome! My entire order came to $109 and it shipped within the week. They’re inexpensive, the frames quality is great, and I love the options.
Candace Derickx – If stranded on a desert island I would want Chris Hemsworth, a good pillow and lipstick with me. I literally CAN NOT function without lipstick. Lipstick addiction is a real thing people. I am crushing madly on these Melted Lipsticks from Too Faced. Available in amazing colours, they are a great cross between a lipstick stain, lipstick and balm. Best of all…they have staying power!
Kelly Bos – I wore out my p90x video set. This is equally impressive and unimpressive; during the last six years I have completed it several times, finished half of the program many many times, and flown through the first part a zillion times, BUT it’s the pause function that’s has really taken a toll. Even though Kenpo no longer plays to the end and Cardio skips a lot in the middle, I love the workouts. Now need p90x2 or 3 because I can recite every one of Tony Horton’s jokes in the first one. I need new material.
