Frozen French Lemonade

By //  by Candace Sampson 4 Comments

I tell you, those LCBO Food & Drink magazines are like my bible when it comes to drinks. I found this recipe for Frozen French Lemonade in my 2006 edition and had to try it! Yes, I'm a bit of a hoarder when it comes to magazines with recipes. This is a perfect drink for a girls night in! Frozen French Lemonade To a blender, add 1 cup ice, 1 oz Alize Red passion liqueur, 1/2 oz lemon vodka, 1 oz water, and 4 oz lemonade concentrate. Blend until slushy and pour into a champagne …

Shark Attack

By //  by Candace Sampson 7 Comments

Sometimes you want a drink with a little bite. Sometimes you want one with a big one. Like this Shark Attack. This drink is most definitely a "sippin' drink". It's the kind of drink that's perfect for mommas who've just got home from running their kids to the umpteenth soccer game or cheerleading practice and want to sit and unwind in the back yard listening to Jimmy Buffett and enjoying the warm summer air. Wow, that sounds really good doesn't it? I know what I'm doing later. Shark …

Very Berry Sangria

By //  by Candace Sampson 3 Comments

This is the second sangria recipe that I decided is worthy of you. Remember the first one? The Loosey Goosey Boozy Boozy Sangria? Original name, right? Well this one is equally as inventive. It's the Very Berry Sangria. Please, for the love of good sangria, do not confuse it with that Boone's crap you can buy at the liquor store. *shiver* THAT is not sangria. If you're ever in a bind and must buy sangria bottled make sure it's Real Sangria. But if you visit here regularly, you know that …

Classic Sangria – Wine, Booze, Fruit

By //  by Candace Sampson 27 Comments

I first published this recipe for a classic sangria way back in 2012, and gave it the awful name of "loosey goosey boozy boozy sangria". I was new to blogging and clearly knew NOTHING about how people searched for things on the internet, and was terrible with titles. Oh well, a lot has changed since then, including my marital status so first up, let's change that author name baby!  Next, we know a lot more about sugar now and while I don't think you can eliminate it all together in …

Mint Iced Tea

By //  by Candace Sampson 8 Comments

Oh lawd, it's hot! It's so hot that I'm channeling my inner Southern Belle (because secretly I'd love to be a Southern lady). I'm longing to sit on a porch sipping iced tea and fanning myself all day. The reality though, is that I don't have a porch and even if I did, I wouldn't have time to sit there. I do however, have iced tea. This Mint Iced Tea is in my refrigerator from June 1 to September 1 every summer. It's incredibly refreshing, and it's perfect with spirits or alone. Finally, …
