This is our dog Leaf. He is about 5 years old, and we adopted him 7 months ago. After owning Leaf for a month, he bit a construction worker outside our home. Immediately, I hired a Bark Buster dog trainer, who has been absolutely wonderful. However, we only registered for one year of dog training because, at that time, we didn’t know the extent of Leaf’s issues (for everyone out there, go with the lifetime guarantee!!). However, it has become very obvious to me that Leaf needs MORE than one year of training. Some history:
· He is aggressive with people, especially men, and has bitten 2 since we adopted him (we now stay away from people at ALL TIMES)
· He is dominant with dogs, and bites if challenged
· Not allowed within 30 feet of children (my rule)
· Separation anxiety
· Despite 6 months of training, we won’t be stopping any time soon
Most recently, we had to leave our home to accommodate Leaf’s behaviour. We lived in a busy area and walking him was just too stressful for me – I was tired of feeling so NERVOUS about walking him so we moved to a quieter part of town.
We have been working hard with Leaf EVERY day, but he’s pretty set in his ways! I want to continue working with Bark Busters because I know this company can help us with more time, they have been so wonderful to work with, and I still need help.
